Diagnosis (driveshaft balance)

• After ruling out the U-Joints and runout as the source of a vibration, you can be justified in suspecting balance as the problem.

• The driveshaft is balanced when it is built. The balance weight on this driveshaft is round and is at the bottom of the picture.

• The weight will usually be found at the rear of the shaft.
